McKEON took part in the recent AIA Conference on Architecture & Design.

AIA24 was held June 5 to 8 in Washington, D.C., home to AIA’s new global campus, several AIA chapters, and some of the most influential architecture, design firms, and manufacturers in the world. The event brought together experts in the industry for networking and continuing education. The days were filled with keynote speakers, seminars, tours of local architecture, workshops, and more. Members were able to conveniently earn the necessary HSW, ADA, GBCI, RIBA & AIA learning units while there.

The AIA expo is one of the main reasons people attend the conference. According to AIA’s website, “It’s the networking hub for the AEC industry, and it’s packed with nearly 550 exhibiting companies, thousands of experts, the newest products and materials, and pioneering project solutions you won’t find anywhere else.”

McKEON showcased our newest innovative security products at the expo – a blast resistant door, a bullet resistant door, and a forced entry resistant door.

Michael Escribano and Cameron Ross of McKeon Door of DC, Christina Keegan of McKeon Door East, and David Dodge, Doug Zachary and Andrew Layne of McKEON attended the event.

Cameron Ross, Architectural Marketing Associate, shared his experience from the event. “Our city hosting the AIA Convention was a tremendous experience. At our booth, we had the opportunity to interface with architect friends who work down the street, and also with ones from around the world; people who knew our product thoroughly, and others who had never heard of McKEON. This enriched the show for our team.”
