McKEON conducts seminars at the 28th annual EduCODE Conference.
The EduCODE International Conference and Exposition was held at the Orleans Hotel and Casino Conference Center in Las Vegas in February. According to the International Code Council’s website, “EduCODE is designed to provide the premier educational training in the country along with several networking opportunities to provide the best overall experience. EduCODE provides nationally acclaimed instructors, daytime and evening networking opportunities through the week, industry representatives showcasing their latest products, technology and services at our daily expo, and a staff that will provide outstanding customer service to make your visit beneficial, fun, and rewarding.”
David Dodge conducted two seminars at EduCODE 2025. The first, Vertical Building Components in Multi-Story Structures, discussed prescriptive solutions and the related principles found in Chapter 7 of the International Building Code (IBC) as they relate to vertical building components in multi-story structures. The seminar defined and examined the following vertical components: Atriums, Interior Exit Stairways, Exit Access Stairways, Elevators as well as other multi- story space considerations.
Mr. Dodge’s second seminar, Fire Resistance, Openings and the Five Walls, reviewed fundamental principles found within Chapters 3 through 10 of the International Building Code as they pertain to the use of the five walls, their openings and opening protectives. This seminar addressed guideline fundamentals and has proven to be a very insightful and helpful study of core code issues.
There were over 150 classes available both in-person and virtually throughout the conference where participants earned ICC CEU credits. The conference also gives attendees the opportunity to network with other industry professionals.
