David Dodge of McKEON was invited to teach a class at Ohio Building Officials event.

Recently, the Ohio Building Officials Association and the Building Officials Conference of Northeast Ohio held a joint event at the Warrensville Heights Hotel – Cleveland Marriott East. The three-day conference provided an opportunity to attend an OBOA business meeting, visit vendor booths and learn more about the building code. On the evening of the second day an awards banquet was enjoyed by all!

As part of the education portion of the event, David Dodge, VP of Business & Code Development at McKEON, led a 3-hour code training class. The details and challenges of Atrium Design, Vertical Spaces and Opening Protection were discussed. Attendees gained a better understanding of the current provisions of the IBC that pertain to the design, approval, and final inspection of opening protectives in challenging vertical spaces.
