Corridor Separation

In I-2 occupancies the corridor walls are required to be smoke rated only (Section 407.3). Section 712.1.9 also instructs the design team that 2-story unprotected openings are not allowed in these same “I” occupancies. McKEON provides a unique solution to this challenge with the SmokeFighter® D150. This smoke rated curtain is deployable and will only close when the building goes into emergency alarm. During normal business hours the entire 2-story space is free of any visual obstacles.
