Kuwait National Guard project was no small task.
Challenge: Protect large bay doors in maintenance hangars.
Several large hangars house specialty maintenance services for Apache helicopters at the Kuwait National Guard facility. Our distributor in the Middle East, Virtual Bridge, worked closely with SSH International Engineering Consultancy on this project. Equipment movement in and out of the facilities necessitated large deployable opening protectives. Challenging – due to a harsh climate and noise from the surrounding military base – but not impossible for the McKEON team.
Solution: ClimateGuard IS3000
Because of a unique slat configuration, the McKEON Model IS3018-STC30 could be fabricated to meet the extreme height and width requirements. Each vertical rolling service door also needed to be insulated. They were installed with specially designed side guides, achieving both sound and thermal abatement under very harsh conditions.
With the supervision of Ahmadiah Contracting & Trading Co. Virtual Bridge installed nineteen Model IS3018-STC30 ranging in size from 33′ x 20′ to 63′ x 25′.
