McKEON distributor Overhead Door Company of Lancaster worked alongside Wiley|Wilson, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and Manhattan Construction Group on a project at the U.S. Army War College
The US Army War College located in Carlisle, Pennsylvania contains an impressive number of McKEON wide-span opening protectives. Overhead Door Company of Lancaster collaborated with the design team at Wiley|Wilson on the project. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers provided engineering oversight. Four different McKEON products were specified to create code compliant and weather-tight spaces.
A bi-parting McKEON Auto-Set® H200 Series horizontal shutter protects a 14′ x 40′ atrium on the second and third floors. Fourteen vertical coiling Auto-Set® Model FSFD fire doors and two side coiling Safescape® S9000s surround and protect a second atrium also on the second and third floors.
One ClimateGuard™ IS3000 Series insulated service door was utilized on the dock. They are the ideal solution when energy conservation and protection against the elements is a primary consideration. Lastly, a final FSFD is located inside the switchgear room.
This project has been in the works since 2020 and installation is still in progress. The efforts and teamwork of all involved are what has made it a success!
